Functional sample of turbo-expander (TE) working with hexamethyldisiloxane (MM) working fluid will be designed, built and tested. TE nominal power output will be in the range of 3-10 kW. The expander concept will be selected based on modelling for the feasible solution from impulse turbine options.
Tests will be performed mainly at MM test rig at CTU. Expected design parameters (might later differ): inlet pressure around 500 kPa, inlet temperature <190°C, outlet pressure around 60 kPa.
